On October 8, 2015 at Sofitel Phnom Penh, HE. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Commerce spoke at the Five ASEAN Nations Seminar in Cambodia under the theme: " Logistics: Cambodia's New Growth Engine". The Seminar was organized by the Post Publishing (Bangkok Post Group of Newspaper) in collaboration with Thailand -Cambodia Friendship Association. Approximately 150 primarily Thai businessmen and investors were in attendance.
In his remarks, Minister Sun gave an overview to the business and investment climate in the country as well as key reforms which have been completed and implemented at the Ministry of Commerce to improve trade and investment facilitation. He discussed the perspectives of Cambodia's trade, economic and infrastructure development in the next following years, as well as other key policies to move the country's industrial sectors forward.
Minister Sun urged the Thai businessmen and investors to expand their businesses and investment in Cambodia. He pledged to facilitate in helping them in doing business and investing in Cambodia, and encouraged them to participate, support and commit themselves to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries for the mutual interests of Cambodian and the Thai people.
